My point was that so far, working from virtual drives has not been flawless. I would find various files to be offline, even though they were actually there. This was after working with them for a while. At first they were seen and then later they weren't and could not be relinked. I have not retested under 4.0.4 yet.
BTW - Premiere Pro does much the same thing these days. Using the same virtual files, I haven't had any issues with Premiere Pro. Other issues, yes - just not files going offline.
