As for DVS products, hats off, it's just that they are expensive and cannot compete with solutions that are 2-8 times cheaper.

DVS demoed Clipster with full 16bit (hardware based) real-time 4K Red
RAW playback (and faster than realtime, clip based, transcode to MXF and
QT) at NAB 2009 and promptly shipped it in May 2009. They have since
demoed real time support for Phantom HD and Gold as well as Arri D21 RAW
files. That is "ahead of the pack".
