[Avid-L2] higher math - 24p to 1080i via DVC PRO HD

shot on varicam at 24p over 60p

digitized into avid via HDSDI cross convert to 1080i using a 1400 VTR

what is this video? is the 23.97 with pulldown added to get 29.97?

is the pulldown panasonic adds via the deck "advanced" or normal or is there an option via the deck?

if I pull selects from this tape into an 1080i avid project making sure that the timeline only contains clips starting and ending with :00 timecodes on both the source and program sides, will the resulting 1080i layoff of a selects reel have the proper pulldown cadence to be removed to re-constitute 24p (23.97) in a future progressive project?
