[Avid-L2] BCC Colorize Effect Scaling Video Levels down improperly?

Playing around with MC 2023.12.0.58093.. Mac Studio 2023 Sonoma 14.0 and seeing BCC Colorize in essence scaling the layer below from Full Range to Legal Range when the layer below is already Legal Range.  I think this may be a long standing issue with BCC in Avid where it assumes a signal is full range and it must scale it down to legal.  Sometimes I see an interaction with this type of behavior when the Safe Levels is checked and unchecked but not in the case of my current situation.  If I bypass the effect then the levels are correct but once bypass is unchecked the blacks are jacked up and the highlights crushed.  Is this a known bug or has it cropped with various Versions of Avid and or BCC?

Anybody else notice this?
