Re: [Avid-L2] Export to XDCAM, all Avid tracks to Ch1 and Ch2?

Sorry, I don't have an XDCam machine to test with, but are you saying if you set the Audio Tool to Direct Out, then map everything to Ch 1&2 (not the default, which would put tracks 3/4 on channels 3/4), the deck ignores this and records to 3/4 on disk anyway?

Hi John,

Yes, we can do that and it works. The edit is no problem
exporting to XDCam.

The main thing for me is a time-crunch. We are a very small
outfit, and our main sponsor, without whom we'd be sunk,
sometimes gives us a new ad the morning of the day we have to
deliver and expects it to be put in. With this guy we have to do
what he says, or else. That type. Handling him is Management's
problem. Mine is that 3 or 4 times a year we get backed into a
corner where every minute counts, we're making 13 exports and
barely making delivery on time.

So if indeed, the audio 'routing' won't work, I'll have to do as
you suggest, and just race that clock!
