I just learned the short I have taken on will be shot with external audio source.
I have been fortunate enough to work mostly with audio fed into the camera.
Having no AE, I will be faced with syncing up myself.
What's best practice, here?
Create a sequence for each good take and syncing that way?
Then of course cutting that sequence into the timeline.
Or doing the syncing in the actual timeline of the cut?
I am guessing the former to make the most sense.
I worked with this years ago as an AE, but we were blessed to have a PA
sync all for us.
Whatever the method, it just needs to not mess with uprezzing, in the end.
Thanks to Roger and Jo for the assist thus far!

Select and transcode to a low resolution, then edit. When happy (are we ever?), duplicate sequence and select it. Re-open original camera bins and select all clips (even those you didn't use). On the selected (low-res) sequence, either right-click or Clip menu and choose Relink. Choose 'Relink to selected items in all open bins'. go for it. Grade and finish.Chip Hess
