The render issue is mostly Pan and Zoom.

I have to keep going back and reselecting the image, it's nuts.

Otherwise, black frames.  Ugh.

A few RED effects too.

I am waiting to hear back from Boris

about the latest RED revision, fingers crossed.

I have not moved anything, which would of course affect this.

There have been problems with rendering  this sequence, likely corrupt media

In process of whittling it down, I have already found one of the culprits.

Oh i didn't understand that the renders aren't sticking.  Boris is very Zen when finding stills.  It's amazing how fast it will find them sometimes and other times I can't figure out what the algorithm for finding stills is doing.  Perhaps your effects for some unknown reason to me are re-searching and finding the stills in different places?  If there are multiple copies/locations for the stills maybe Red thinks it's a new still and unrenders the effect.  Not sure if the there is a watch folder setting like in BCC Pan and Zoom for stills.  Just guessing out loud.

You always have to render Boris Red or Avid Fx effects for playback.  There is nothing new about that.  You can park on them but playback requires a render.  I had some issues with Avid Fx lately and Marianna helped me out turning off OpenCL helped the preview within the interface show up properly.  That had more to do with the interface window and not Avid playback.
