If you get a new subscription you can use 2018.9 or higher as that is the version were we changed the licensing and 3^rd party so it would need to be that or higher.  If you wish to use MC in a NEXIS environment, you need Ultimate for bin sharing etc.

All my licenses that we've been using for years have been perpetual. I've never had one of the newer subscription licenses from Avid, so I have a question that I can't figure out how to locate the answer to. I'm probably just not figuring out the correct terms to focus my search, but anyway….


If I get a brand new subscription license can I run older versions of MC? And how far back will that work? What is the oldest version of MC that will work in an ISIS/Nexis environment will a new subscription license run?

Also, to work in a ISIS/Nexis environment I will need an MC/Ultimate license, correct?
