Re: [Avid-L2] Recommendations for shared storage/media management system.

You could use Robocopy for the automated backups to the workspaces on Cloudspaces. If you want the backup destination to be on premise then you can use Archiware, XenData or Storage DNA to an LTO device or a Synology NAS and you could use Wasabi S3 storage as the destination. Most backup middleware will talk to Wasabi these days if you don't want to go to LTO or NAS on premise.

If you have a little more cash for the media management then go for Marquis Project Parking or Workspace Sync.

A couple of Nexis Pro 40TB units with Cloudspaces and http://djfio.com/mdv/ to manage the media which you can move to and from Cloudspaces as needed.

Hi all,

My company is looking into getting a shared storage system with a media management component. We are a small team of 5 but looking for something that could house 60 - 100tb with automated backups and some level of media management capabilities. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies and/or systems they have used to build something like this that were reasonable in price and reliable in use?

TIA!!!

Mike Meyer.
