Just saw this on Avid Editors on Face Book. Could this be what you are seeing:
Here's a weird one. The font on my timeline changed to old English looking script. All the clips in the timeline are named in this font. I don't know how I did that and of course I can't find how to change it back. It's kind of cool but hard to read.

Click on the timeline window to make it active, then go to Windows > Set Font. Jim Safee
