It's really time to celebrate when they include the LUT profile file with the footage.
Most of the time a query to the AP/Producer gets a "they shot s-log" as a reply.

I'm thrilled when a crew asks what I want.I hate it when I tell a crew to shoot 709 and I get log instead. On Fri, Jul 19, 2019 at 9:54 AM John Heiser jpheiser@gmail.com [Avid-L2] <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:I received S-log 3 footage the other day which included two-camera green screen interviews. Working in Premiere, I applied a master clip input LUT and tried an Ultra Key, which looked very good. The lighting and exposure were just about perfect. So maybe, if the shoot is well done, log green screen can be viable, but it does add an extra layer of processing I'd just as soon avoid.I do agree with Bouke and Terrence that log is unnecessary most of the time. I did actually have a crew ask me if I wanted log or normal -- I said normal and a big thank you for asking.

Log is soooo oversold. Just shoot it right in the first place and you will have a lot more good material to work with. And who would ever shoot a chroma key scene that isn't already lit correctly?
Definitely not for chroma keys where you want the deepest saturation of the key color that you can possibly get. RGB 4:4:4 is best.
