It has been my understanding that it is better not to shoot log for chroma key work. We have a Rec 709 show and they have shot the green screen in log. I've long understood that technically it's cleaner to shoot Rec 709 in camera for a Rec 709 delivery. While the benefits of shooting log for exposure reasons may out way the technically cleaner Rec 709 capture in camera when it comes to green screen I've heard it's best to shoot Rec 709.
Curious what others think and have found on this subject.
