John
We have gotten other reports through beta about a memory leak and I think this might be the same thing.
I have no idea what this line means, though:
"usage I then lost any of the other tabs in Avid link displaying any info. Support has told me this is a known bug for some and they are working on it."
Can you send me the logs from either of these locations:
• Mac: /Library/Logs/Avid/AppManager
• Win: C:\ProgramData\Avid\Support\Logs
Also, in Avid Link you can click the "Restart Helper " and see if it gets better.

Subject: Avid link using 16 to 18GB of memory in Application Manager?
[EXTERNAL]
________________________________
I had posted a while that Avid link seemed to be taking up a lot of memory according to application manager. At the time there was a new version so I updated. Now I'm on the latest Avid link and after leaving Avid rendering for 3 hours application manager shows avid link using 16 GB or memory. Other times I've seen it at 18GB. When I restart the computer and Avid link launches the memory listing is 260 MB. When I see the hish memory use quiting Avid link doesn't seem to drop the memory usage listed in application manager.
Also when I went from avid link 2019.1 to 2019.3 the first time I posted about avid link cpu usage I then lost any of the other tabs in Avid link displaying any info. Support has told me this is a known bug for some and they are working on it.
I can't understand why Avid link is using so much memory or if application manager is somehow being fooled. I can't tell if this is effect performance on my MacPro mid 2012 12 core OS 10.12.6 MC 2018.12.5 DNxIO with 64GB of ram. I know it's no longer qualified but that's not really an answer for the Avid Link taking up so much ram memory. Anybody else seeing this behavior?
