Went to buy a top of the line Mac for the company I currently work for, with external storage and BlackMagic I/O, beefed up with the most installable RAM, the most powerful CPU/GPU available, and all the bells and whistles. It worked out at around 16.000 euro, can't remember if that included VAT, the reseller told me "I do not sell HP, but this money can buy you a much better Windows workstation". My client insisted on the Mac, it came out that such configuration was built to order, and that delivery would roughly take one month. We have had to buy the readily available configuration, less powerful, for over 11.000 euro. It's not performing very well, skipping frames when palying 4k video, and with audio glitches requiring frequent reboots, it's overheating IMHO. My client said he will never buy a Mac again, but I think he will, Mac addiction is emotional, you buy the design, not the computer as a tool; when the next sphere shaped iMac with Thunderbolt-4-you-can't-live-without-it will come out he will fall in love again.
