Our Design dept is replacing all their (NON Avid) Macs (approx. 45) with PCs. They run with a quantum SAN, so even with having to buy a quantum storenext client license for all the workstations, its still cheaper than buying fully loaded iMac Pros and we are getting higher specs on the HP Z4s than the macs, plus they are upgradable and with replaceable parts. It works out about A$2500-3K cheaper per station. HPs service is also great with extended warranties.
We did the math.

ProRes is a trojan horse, and Apple's after sale service is a joke. On top of that the products are overpriced.
