I'm not sure I would expect any real difference between US and UK unrelated to other factors, such as enterprise versus small business (IT integration) or urban versus rural (available resources). 

I'm curious about the answers we get, but I'm also curious why Mr. Fischler asked the question?

In my experience, the overwhelming majority -- ?  ...definitely PC among both cable and broadcast TV stations.
(Unless they're FCP based....)
