[Avid-L2] Re: Avid Link using 170% CPU? Now Will Avid Link Blast a Dongle?

I updated at work but will try at home.  I can't seem to find a way to blast a dongle with Avid Link.  When I click Activate it seems to point me in the direction of a software registration.  Prior to Avid Link the Update vs. Convert was more clear and obvious.  I've been having to download the dongle file from my products page then go to an older system at work with App Manager to blast the dongles.

Should I be looking in the utilities folder for a dongle manager or is there a way to blast with Avid Link like you could through App Manager?

You should have a new Avid Link 2019.3 released yesterday.  2 changes to assist the masses.

Performance Improvement: We have modified the behavior of 3 tabs when Avid Link is now launched. This modification, reduces the QT Web instances that are started when Avid Link is first launched. The following tabs will not "pre-load" when Avid Link is opened:  Create Account, Forgot Password and Redeem. If users need those tabs, they can be manually opened from within Avid Link.
Now it wont chew up as much as it did prior.

- Dongle Backward Compatibility:  An update has been made to help support future Media Composer software with Dongle backward compatibility.

Give 2019.3 a try and report back please that it doesnt suck up as much as the prior versions did.
