Hey guys....What's all the complaining? How many other NLEs ship with four titlers!
(Legacy, Marquee, New Blue, Avid Titler+)
:)
God knows what a new Avid user will make of all this. Trying to explain the difference between import and link/AMA and the concept of Filler to Avid neophytes is already my favorite pastime....now I have a new one to add.

Hi,
I hate New Blue Titler for being difficult as you explained, plus the fact that when you are on a collaborative environment with editors running different versions of MC, the latest version doesn't work nice with the previous. The work around is to export and re-import. Annoying.

I am starting a new project with MC 2018.12. In the process of upgrading I saw on the my products page for my work dongle new blue titler pro 5.xxxxx so I downloaded the installer. I have now installed MC 2018.12 on a cloned startup drive Mac OS 10.12.6. All I have done is uninstall the previous MC 8_9_4 and the video desktop software for my DNxIO. I've installed MC 2018.12 and the latest video desktop and all is working. I noticed that I already see New Blur Titler 4.0 in the effects list. I had to the best of my knowledge been running NewBlue 2.0 on the MC 8_9_4. So is new blue automatically installed with Avid? I haven't reinstalled it for previous upgrades.
Also on the App manager it lists New Blue 2.0 and 2.5 like I remember and it tells me I have 2.5.160404 installed and there is an update available. It says the update is required for MC 2018.1 and higher.
So why is my old version running? Why does it show up a New Blue Titler Pro 4.0 in avid whenj app manager says I have 2.5.xxxx installed. Is this new update to New Blue to a version 5 or is is a 2.5.xxxx version.
Just trying to understand why all the conflicting version numbers throughout the App manager and the Avid app.
I saw the new titler install so that is promising.
