Have you tried linking the MTS files? This works - sometimes. If it does not, I would opt to transcode in another application (preferably Adobe Media Encoder which will preserve audio channels, time code).
Everyone -
I am a thankful L2 lurker of over a decade and greatly appreciate the expertise in this forum. Now I need some embarrassing handholding.
A new client is sending me MTS files from his Canon XA-20. I have tried unsuccessfully to import the individual MTS file, but receive a "This type of MPEG file is not supported" message. I can play the file using VLC Media Player. He is reluctant to send me his entire SD structure, so I cannot attempt to AMA Link.
What options do you recommend? Am I missing plugin? Need to upgrade from MC 7.0.4? Demand that he send me the entire SD card contents? Volunteer for a brain transfusion?
