Hey everyone,
So I'm having an issue where my Media Composer crashes anytime I try to capture in ProRes resolution.
I've tried recording in numerous other resolutions and they all enable me to click the record button and everything goes as normal.
The moment I select any of the ProRes options as capture resolution (in any SD or HD project) and hit the record button, the Mac wheel of death spins & I get the standard "Hit esc to annotate/log..." but then instead of going into capture/record everything freezes and Avid crashes. I've been trying to solve this since Monday and I'm at the end of my rope.
I can AMA link to ProRes files in Avid and they link in & play ok.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Avid MC & created a new user profile and new projects and am still running into the same problem.
I am able to capture as ProRes using Blackmagic Media Express (since I'm desperate and have a deadline) without issue.
Does anyone have any ideas how to remedy this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Becki
