Re: [Avid-L2] 'Seat Count Failed on System ID...'

Hi,

I didn't have that specific issue but I had something as weird as. Anyway. My solution was to quit everything Avid, including Application Manager and BG services. Shutdown. Restart. Check Avid. Still not working. Quit everything. Shutdown. Restart. Etc. After the third time everything was back the way it's supposed to be.
I hope it helps.

Marcel

Hi, again,

I'm only writing again because I'm so desperate.

When I try to do an online activation of my new install of MC (with Symphony Option), I get the following message:

Activation Failed: 101 Activation Failed. Seat count failed on System ID: 259XXXXXXXXX

Fine. It failed. But what does it want me to do? Deactivate on my previous computer? Can't do it. That computer's motherboard and SSD fried itself into oblivion and is no longer a functional piece of hardware. So that's no going to happen.

So HOW do I get around this 'Seat count failed' problem on my new activation?

Much obliged,

DD
