From Sorenson … today is the last day … you MUST use the links provided:
Greetings,
Sorenson Media is announcing the manufacture discontinue and end of life (EOL) of the following Squeeze products.
Squeeze Desktop
Squeeze Server
Squeeze Stream
Support for these products will end September 1, 2018. We do not currently have any replacement for these products. Please see the comments for each product below.
Squeeze Desktop
We have developed a new version of Squeeze that will not communicate with any registration server and will allow you to upgrade to Squeeze 11.1 Pro using the serial number for any previous version of Squeeze. There is no cost for this upgrade. However, we cannot guarantee that the software will continue to work past September 1, 2018. We recommend that you seek alternate encoding solutions immediately. Here are the latest Squeeze Desktop 11.1 installation files. Please download these installers immediately as they may be taken down or moved after September 1, 2018.
Your current installation of Squeeze may still work when the registration server goes down on September 1st. However, you will need to use the new Squeeze 11 installer if you decide to reinstall Squeeze for any reason. If you have trouble installing Squeeze, please try uninstalling and reinstalling using the thorough uninstall method described at the end of this email.
Squeeze Server
Squeeze Server should continue to work without any updates because it does not currently communicate with any registration server. However, we cannot guarantee that it will continue to work past September 1st. We recommend that you seek alternate encoding solutions immediately. Customers with annual maintenance contracts will be issued a prorated refund. Those customers due a refund will be contacted within the next few weeks.
Squeeze Stream
This is a second and final notice to backup your Squeeze Stream videos. After September 1st, all Squeeze Stream Web hosting servers will be shut down and you will no longer be able to access your videos via the web console, web API, or using the Squeeze Stream embed codes.. Please backup any videos you have stored on the Squeeze Stream site before they are permanently deleted on September 1st. We are working on getting prorated refunds issued to customers who currently have annual subscriptions for Squeeze Stream. If you are owed a refund, you will be contacted within the next few weeks.
We apologize for any inconvenience and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
Sincerely,
The Sorenson Squeeze Team
