Re: [Avid-L2] Converting from FCPX to Avid Media Composer

John,

Thanks so much for your reply.

Is it possible that, with the help of an assistant who is savvy with both SW's, I can create bins in Avid with the foundation created in FCP? I realize that this may be time intensive, but with the delivery schedule, I'd prefer to invest the time up front with an AE rather than alternatively attempting to learn FCP during the edit, and perhaps not having capabilities I'm familiar with.

Thoughts?

Not sure how you would do that since FCPX does not have bins.  It relies on an elaborate key wording system, which is quite powerful, but completely different than any other NLE.

Has anyone converted an FCP X Project into an Avid Media Composer Project? About to embark on a feature length doc, and Producers have started in FCP X.

Have done some research and I understand sequences are easily converted. Ideally, hoping to bring in bin structure as well.

Any guidance appreciated.
