Yeah what Pat said. If I remember correctly, MC always reads Animation codec QTs as needing some adapter - and also sometimes throws that on 444 files as well. I've seen 444 files come in where they're legal on the bottom and over on the top - some weirdo interpretation of values. Animation is RGB and always needs an adjustment when linking in a YUV project. Also of note: Animation codec is SO OLD and I bet is on its way to pasture. Don't trust any default reading by any application for it. If you are slightly off one way or the other, it is just as easy to chalk up to the legacy codec interpretation.

Did you check the source setting when ama linking? And the colour adapter? MC may have added a colour adapter full range to video. Only if no colour adapters are showing is the AMA result bypassed.
