Re: [Avid-L2] Can we educate the viewers about quality?

I was so happy today to have a friend who is in theater, but not at all in TV or film, complain about the sound change in musicals when they go from production dialog to studio recorded song and don't do any bridging of the the ambient room tone.  Not that they were to express it that way, but once I explained the thing about no room tone it was like a crazy epiphany for them.

This is the first in a series of videos we are making to teach viewers to recognize sound problems in media productions. The hope is to make them discerning consumers thereby keeping us all gainfully employed.
