Here's my question: is the support renewal for a perpetual license going to cost the same as a year's rental of Media Composer Ultimatte? That's kind of what it seems like right now, and that would be pretty lame -- paying the same as the rental, but not getting access to Script Sync, Phrase Find or Symphony (unless you had already purchased those options.)
Anyone able to clarify?

This morning I renewed my "Software Updates + Support Plan" for my perpetual license which includes Symphony. It was the same price as it has been in previous years (less a 5% discount from Videoguys) and included Symphony. The renewal went smoothly and was acknowledged immediately on my Avid master account.
