Hey David,
you have to make sure the Ease controls in the effect editor are set to the same as your Advanced Keyframe interpolation, otherwise you'll get weird results.
(So in your case, you have set In: Linear, Out: Linear, and have to right-click on the top of the advanced keyframe timeline and set the interpolation to Linear as well)
It's crazy that they didn't remove the parameters in the editor when they changed the effect to AVX2, but then again you don't get the impression anyone has looked at P&Z very much within the last years. We have completely changed over to BCC Pan & Zoom, which gives much better results.
