Re: [Avid-L2] Avid X-AVC S support?

Thanks for the info but am I confused about Avid finally supporting XAVC-S?  I'm pretty sure somewhere around 8.9.X Avid finally got support for XAVC-S natively.

Hi John,

Just this week I had to get up to speed on this topic with a client.
They're on v8.7 (IIRC). The solution was "Media Reactor Lite" for $99:

The company is in Toronto, and the registration process (to remove the trial watermark and play-length limitation), is not the most user friendly or expedient. I recommend going through the process during business hours, so you can call them if you want/need to.

Cheers,
Benjamin

My understanding is that I think in Avid 8.9.X there was support for linking to X-AVC S.  There was also a Nablet plugin they were charging 89 bucks for that I believe worked on earlier versions of Avid.

I googled but didn't find exactly when Avid started to natively support X-AVS S.  The latest Sony XDCam XAVC ama plugin mentions in the read me it doesn't support XAVC S.  So will Avid's native support, through I guess the generic plugin, work in conjunction with XAVC S while the Nablet plugin is installed?  I don't have any material to check this out.
