The install took forever and a day on the old laptop, but it appears to be running OK after Restart.
Now I have to Upgrade to 10.10.5, uninstall MC, and Install "MC First" so I can see how it operates and check-out its differences from MC. I'll be here all night! ;)
TIP:
Not having had to do this before, I'll share one thing I learned along the way:
There was one small hurdle. I was getting a message that disallowed the installation. The gist was that the installer couldn't be verified, and it might be corrupted, blah, blah, blah.
That lead me to a quick Google search, and thanks to a good samaritan on YouTube, I found that the solution was as easy as simply setting the year back to 2015 before launching the installer. Some on YouTube were showing how to reset the time and date using the OS Terminal. For me, this was not necessary; I just set back the year to 2015 in the Date/Time System Prefs. and all was good to go.
