I saw on the Avid forums a comparison of features. At it's most basic I see DNxIV won't work with Resolve, no shocker here. I also see the DNxIV has HDMI 2.0b (dual link) not HDMI 2.0a. I assume there are adapters to convert to get back to HDMI 2.0a. Are there any devices running the HDMI 2.0b standard?
Also DNxIV will only work with Avid 8.10.X.
I'm curious what the end game is here? I have a DNxIO and have no plans to change IO hardware but I'm wondering what bigger picture there is, if any. Avid has worked with both BM and AJA for some time. Other than a mic input on the front what is the big advantage of the DNxIV over the other aja IO 4k. According to the aja sight that is compatible with Media Composer but nothing is listed as compatible with the IO 4K Plus. Maybe I am mis reading their compatibility chart?
Curious what advantages the aja DNxIV might offer to people over the DNxIQ in real world applications?
