When we upgraded our suites to "trashcans" (Mac Pro), our production manager felt we needed to keep and integrate our Nitris DS boxes. So we purchased an external thunderbolt PCI chasis and went forward
Now... i believe my Nitris is starting to fail... so the big question... Do i replace it?
Honestly, I don't think the Nitris is doing much more than outputting sdi and hdmi and giving me the ability to up or downconvert the outputs.
Some think we're getting extra processing help with h264 outputs... but i'm doubtful.
Can anyone tell me WHY SHOULD I GET ANOTHER NITRIS?
Why not get an AJA of Blackmagic card... and save thousands of dollars?
SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT A NITRIS DOES?
