Does he explain best SubCap usage practices?

Jay,
Are you serious?
What's there to learn?
SubCap is only good during offline / proofing / timing adjustment / small text adjustments, not for final output (unless you're in the bottom part of the food chain.)
Roundtripping seems fairly OK.
Avoid EBU STL like the plague, as that has been infected with every disease known to mankind.
TXT is UTF 16, which covers all languages / special chars in this quadrant of the galaxy.

To generate lot's of titles it's too slow / impractical. A dedicated tool is way faster.
FInal output is not possible due to lack of quality. (Formatting is unpredictable, outline thickness shifts based on the amount of characters, sometimes (still) lower parts of text are cropped, align center does not follow 'my' rules :-)

Bouke (Who saw / redirected some 2000 subtitles today, and another 10.000 to do the next couple of days.)
