I got the same thing for the same reason as David. They apologized and gave me a 25% credit on any "non-subscription" order. My license is a dongle so I immediately renewed my support for a mother year and took the 25%.
The accounts receivable department screwed up, No wonder Avid is no longer the darling of Wall Street.
