Well, its resolved on our systems, Mac OS 10.9.5, MC 8.6.3 & 8.4.5, total of 30 Systems. AMA works fine and not a problem.

Jay's right. This is not a solution for the persistent issue of OPServer not responding. The cause of this is definitely AMA related, and as yet unsolved. It is, quite simply, a leak which has no fix.

I've been turning off Show Content Guide automatically since it was an option to select. It isn't active on any mac I run.
