I'm on 8.8.2, and I think the option to manual choose the plug-in is gone.
One 'identical' system is auto-choosing Canon correctly, the other is auto-choosing generic MXF, which screws up the spanned clips.
I tried pulling MXF out of the plug-in bin and it didn't help. The system just said it didn't have the needed codec. So, in my case, I think the canon plug-in is the one not being seen??

I went to the ama plugin folder and played with pulling out the mxf plug in as well as make a back up copy of the ama plugins after the reinstall. No matter what I have done it seems to disappear from the list after about a week

WTF? The laptop correctly connects the spanned clips and the AMA is 'MVP_MSP_CanonMXF' but the workstation doesn't see the spanned clips, and calls the EXACT SAME FILES MXF - not CanonMXF.
