[Avid-L2] Quicktime_OPServer (not responding) in Activity Monitor

 

In case anybody out there is running into this problem with this annoying Quicktime_OPServer (not responding), here is a fix:

Launch QuickTime Player 7 and go into its Preferences, deselect the "Show Content Guide automatically" and then quit QT7. Launch your ProTools/Media Composer and the problem should be gone.
