Re: [Avid-L2] Adobe stepping up their game

On my current project we wound up going Premiere, since we needed more real-time performance than we could get out of Avid.  Adobe was pretty generous with tech advice getting set up, and Van was the point guy for our technical issues -- very helpful.  We're in Vancouver, not Hollywood -- so he covers a lot of ground!

We've been having a lot of issues handling Premiere Pro projects which we need to prep for color correction, audio mixing, etc. Fortunately, Adobe has seriously doubled down on Hollywood. They are opening an office here and hiring engineers. It will be headed by a long time compadre, Van Bedient. He sent a tech over who spent almost a whole day at Alpha Dogs working with our team, optimizing systems for Premiere, etc. The guy was very nice and super helpful. It has resolved a lot of performance issues.

It reminded me of the old days when Avid had Alan Stewart in the L.A. office who would kind of do the same thing. Thanks #Adobe.
