Don't forget UHD and 4K have a bigger color space than HD so I presume when in UHD or 4K mode MC and The BM box are working in the larger color space. The HD downconvert is scaling but not reducing color space hence the gamut errors.
You can't monitor a UHD color space in HD
You'd need to have LUT box downstream of the HD output and even then it wouldn't be accurate.
