The matte is normally locked, surely? Although I think I saw an instance recently with a linked graphic where it appeared not to be. Surely with faster computers, Avid can dispense with the locked alpha.

Once upon a time, if you stepped into a title or matte key, the nested elements were nicely labelled. Now they are not. OK for old hands but not good for teaching :-(.
