This may seem obvious, but is your AJA firmware current and/or appropriate for your OS?

I've got 2 rooms doing the same thing, and I can't figure out where the culprit is.
When editors are selecting footage (play forward, play back, mark in, mark out, play forward / back... mostly J,K,L,I,O on the keyboard) their image on the computer monitor doesn't keep up with their moves. However, the video coming out of the AJA io box on the client monitor does.
Additionally, sometimes if they start playing their edit sequence the sound will be up to 1 second out of sync. (BUT audio is coming out of AJA box, and is in sync w/ video monitor)
If I disable the AJA box with the gear icon in Media Composer then the CPU monitor looks fine.
These two rooms are using different user settings and I've tried swapping AJA boxes with no difference. The problems seems to stay with the CPU.
Other rooms don't seem to display the issue (or the editors haven't noticed)
CPUs are Mac Pro 6,1 - 6 core - 64 Gig RAM -
OS 10.11.5
MC 8.6.1 (I tried moving one room to 8.6.3 but that made no difference)
ISIS 5000 version 4.7.7
Footage DNxHD36
Any ideas where to look?
Jeff
