[Avid-L2] Re: consolidate but save CC

Did you Color Correct in Symphony style?  If you did perhaps you could show reference clips in the sequence bin and drag them all into a sequence.  That would be the entire clips used depending on the mark ins and outs that are on the clips.  You could eliminate the marks before dragging the clips into a sequence then using symphony relational color correction merge the color correction.  I think that would keep the audio with the clips and apply the color correction from your master sequence.  If you didn't do symphony color correction then I don't have any idea how you'd achieve your goal.  It's almost like you want the file equivalent of the old backup to tape but that didn't archive the footage with color correction IIRC it layed the original uncolored shots with handles to tape that could be recaptured later.

I cut a video for a client who needs to send to his overseas client. They now want the raw video clips so they can edit in parts for whatever reason. My USA client does not want to give them raw footage but only the clips we used with CC finished. So, normally I would just consolidate and export as PRORES and send the clips. But how can I retain the color work and still only send the consolidated clips? Do i need to do a video mix down of every clip in the timeline? and send those? If so I lose the audio that goes with the clip. Any suggestions? All color work and editing done in MC/Symphony 8.5.3.
