Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Workstation desk company in LA

Yep, that would be them.  That's a shame that they are out of business.  Their desks and racks were really solid and super durable.  I think they just had marketing problems getting people to know about them.  But that's some really great google work.  I spent like two hours trying to track down information about them and never came across that article.  Thank you for going through that trouble.

I did a google search and found this article from 2001, which mentions a Crescent edit console that is available up to 92":

Looks like it was made by Solutions Home Furnishings.  I did a quick google search for that and it looks like they're no longer around.

Oh that is so close.  Like whoever this is use to work for the people I'm thinking of.  But the widest desk Edit5 has is 78".  The place I'm thinking of had a Crescent desk that was like 92" or 94" wide.  They also had an executive desk that was almost the size of a twin mattress. But this Edit5 place defiantly has the same ascetic.

Thanks for the link.

try Edit5 - they might not be exactly the one you're looking for, but making very similar products.

Subject: [Avid-L2] OT: Workstation desk company in LA

I'm trying to find a specific furniture company in LA and I can't remember their name and was wondering if the L could help.

Back in the late '90's and early '00's there was a company in LA that sold these really nice workstation desks with separate monitor bridges on their own stands and under counter office racks. I remember that one of the models of desks was the Crescent. The desks a bridge could be disassembled and reassembled easily again and again because they used recessed nuts in the surfaces for bolts instead of crap wood screws.

I think the name of the company was something like Solutions Furniture, or Concept Solutions, or something similar. Anyway, searching for those words doesn't narrow things down, and when we had bought from them years ago their website was somewhat weak in design, so they are hard to find.

If anyone knows of the company I'm thinking of can you post a link to how to contact them?

Thank you very much and I'm very appreciative of any assistance.

Jay
