Seeking Alpha is primarily composed of no-name hobby analysts that are paid per view. There was one guy from Canada who always wrote disparaging articles about Apple as it rose from $50/share split adjusted until it hit $134 last April. He had more detractors than followers, but most importantly, he got a lot of reads and angry commenting. For seeking alpha, any publicity is good publicity.

The good news is, even though there have been a lot of layoffs in the last few months (Frank Capria is one example), you'll be happy to know the execs are still getting their bonuses.
"In Q2, despite aggressive cost cutting, the company said it is facing a significant cash burn, of approximately $30M, partly because they need to pay out bonuses."
