The funny part is, I remember a demo of Vegas back around 2004 and you could play a sequence, and while it was playing open another one and start editing, and while that timeline was playing you go further down the timeline and edit ahead of the playback. Blew my mind. And all that without dedicated hardware. Too bad Sony bought them which of course is the death knell for any interface driven system.
