Avid doesn't read visual CC in SD material. I haven't tried capturing from a digi with CC. It does work on HD sources with CC.

Why can't you export from a captured file, while you can export an imported CC track.

Did you test this with the latest version?

Since it's a digi, the CC is actual visible. It's on line 21 (NTSC). So you need to keep that part of the picture. You won't be able to export a separate CC from that.
