I'll second that. After humming along on the monthly plan I got too cocky and thought all was well; until recently. On deadline, with a few hours to go, I started Media Composer (ver 8.2.0) and got the dreaded "license invalid Activation Failed" message. One and a half hours and two support people later I was finally working with a temporary license. Two hours after that they fixed my license issue. Nothing like a nice easy process.

Congratulations Avid, your license renewal process has not improved.
In fact, it is as unnecessarily confusing and convoluted as it ever was.
Let's face it -- nothing about this is hard.
Thousands of companies do this right every day of the week.
It amazes me how many calls and wasted time it takes to get this done.
Unbelievable.
