Re: [Avid-L2] Audio mixing in avid

I have very good experiences with Waves Vocal Rider.
Plugin that listens to the sound and moves the fader for you.
(I often have long lectures with some speakers that are very dynamic, makes it a HUGE timesaver.)
It's not cheap (250 USD), but for me it's worth it.
(And I don't like compressors, especially with the new loudness norms there is no need, unless used as effect.)

i generally mix "in-the-box" as i would with pro tools, using keyframes with clip gain on the audio tracks. i use my audio mixer - a yamaha, but mackie's are also great - for monitoring, adding VO, etc.

I have a project coming up where i will need to do lots of temp mixes
for presentations. What mixer are people using with the avid these days?

I see a lot of used Digi 002 and command 8s will these work with a
current avid?

best regards
