I am not versed in all the pot hole involved with Media Composer to Resolve round tripping but just the fact that my pan and zoom still is basically lost in the process, or at least something you have to work around, it is not an appealing workflow in my world. My sidelines take on it is the process is like a video enema or at least a round trip high colonic, gotta love the 70's. I know many people have developed workable techniques but the strict guidelines and things that are just plain lost has kept me away from the round trip approach. In fact just thinking about it makes me turn my head and cough. It does sound like FCPX and earlier FCPs and Premiere have better paths than Avid but like I said I have steered away from the round trip path with my shows given their constant revisions and layered sapphire and BCC that make working in context more important than the improved color correction tool set of Resolve.

Not sure what you are saying here. Yes, that's the default, but that's what modifiers are for. In MC you pick one of two buttons (or keyboard commands). Maybe I am missing something, but what is the big difference?

"I now use Color Finale with FCPX."
I have it as well!
