Not true. The P-key modifier when trimming either side creates a gap. 

" If you delete a clip a gap is left (Lift) — this not true of FCPX."
 
Again not true. Shift-Delete in X performs the "lift" function.


It always ripples if you don't use any modifier keys. Thus, Lift/Overwrite is the option while Ripple is the default.

I wrote this back when Resolve as at version 11. It was possible to roundtrip from FCPZ to/from Resolve IF you followed very strict rules about what one could do in FCPX before the roundtrip. The process was also full of bugs. Don'y know how much this has changed.


I now use Color Finale with FCPX.
