[Avid-L2] Adobe AME processing Avid QT Ref inconsistent Audio Tracks missing?

I have two versions of an hour long show each their own mix stems which come from ProTools AAF imported into Avid.  I end up with a QT ref. Avid DNX 175X with 16 channels of audio.  Many of the tracks are silent but I made sure our mixer put content, or what they refer to in Protools as a region, so there is actual silent media.  I noticed on the first .mov processed Ch 4, 6&7 were missing tone.  I checked all the QT ref sources used by AME and they all have tone.  Then the second version shows tone on all tracks and it used the exact same preset in AME.  I went back to the problem file and reset it's status and re exported using a custom length of just the bars slate and a few seconds of programe and that result shows tone on all 16 tracks.  This the same file and preset that had just created a .mov missing audio on 4,6&7.  I know things just happen sometimes but really?  Is this inconsistency in exports common with AME or am I just caught in a cosmic vortex?
